Hoptrail 2.0

Launching: Version 2.0 of our wealth analytics platform 🙂
Today we're publishing a new version of our wealth analytics platform - covering upgrades across a wide variety of source of wealth tools.
These improvements have been made across our product line, including major upgrades to Hopper (our wallet screening tool) and Cases (our wealth dashboards). These changes are designed to substantially improve the user experience - making analysis better, cleaner and faster, whilst providing access to more relevant risk analytics across BTC and ETH.

Counterparties
One of the bigger changes is how we display counterparties. Previously, clicking 'show addresses' would reveal counterparty addresses sorted by value. This often meant that addresses tied to the same entity were not grouped together. We have reorganised counterparty data to ensure wallets are collated by entity - this includes known services like Coinbase and Binance, as well as untagged addresses, which fall under the 'Unknown' category. This allows the user to:
- easily identify and trace unknown sources and destinations
- assess the share of trading conducted with each counterparty

The user can also click into each Entity to examine the activity with that Entity.

And by clicking into the TX box (in red above), the user can go a level deeper to analyse specific transactions with those Entity addresses:

Cases - Wealth Dashboard
On Cases, we have grouped customer wallets -i.e. those counterparty self-custody wallets you need to review - as 'Case Wallets'. This allows users to isolate trades between their customers' addresses in their portfolio. In the past, these internal movements have complicated tracing, presenting challenges in isolating and examining trades with external parties. By separating them out, the user can concentrate on what is important.

Activity Risk Signals
We have also introduced an Activity Signals table in Cases. This is an add-on to the high-risk transactions activity, showcasing key risk and behavioural indicators on a trader based on the overall portfolio activity. It is designed to provide the user with insights on a customers' overall history and probity by assessing indicators beyond exposure to high-risk wallets. These indicators fall into two categories:
1. Trading Risks
- P2P User
- Bridge User
- Unknown Sources
- Unknown Destinations
2. Behavioural Indicators
- Fast money-maker - did the customer make money sizeable profits unusually quickly?
- High-volume trader - has the customer executed an excessive number of trades?

Other Changes
We have also added a series of smaller improvements across the platform. Thes einclude:
1. The amalgamation of ETH and token data into a unified dashboard: All transactions - native and tokens - are now collated in a single tab, simplifying wallet analysis in one location
2. Multi-hop tracing on Ethereum
3. Re-positioning of high-risk transactions table
4. Enabled fiat-to-crypto switches (platform-wide): allowing users to switch between crypto amounts and USD values
Finally, we've also enhanced our CSV download functionality platform-wide, to enable download of a wider set of data on wallets and transactions. We are also upgrading the PDF report downloads for Cases to enable the download of a comprehensive wealth report on a portfolio.
