Hoptrail partners with Weatherbys Bank to enhance crypto HNWI onboarding

Hoptrail is pleased to announce a new partnership with Weatherbys Bank, a leading UK private bank, to support the safe and efficient onboarding of high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) with cryptocurrency exposure.

Through this collaboration, Weatherbys Bank will leverage Hoptrail’s source of wealth analytics platform and enhanced due diligence (EDD) reporting to gain deeper visibility into clients’ digital asset activity.  The partnership will enable Weatherbys to assess crypto-related wealth with the same rigor and confidence as traditional financial assets.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to maintain high standards of compliance while embracing innovations in financial services. As digital assets become increasingly relevant to private banking clients, the ability to understand and verify crypto wealth is critical. Hoptrail’s technology empowers Weatherbys to meet this demand, enhancing risk management, streamlining onboarding procedures, and improving the client experience.

Henry Burrows, CEO of Hoptrail, said:
"We’re very proud to partner with Weatherbys Bank. Crypto wealth presents both opportunity and complexity for banks, and our platform is designed to bring clarity and confidence to that process. With Oliver and his team, we’re enabling a new standard for onboarding high-net-worth clients with digital asset exposure."

Oliver Barnett, Client Director at Weatherbys Bank, added:
“As digital assets become a more common part of client’s wider wealth, it’s important that we approach this area with care and proper diligence, while keeping the onboarding experience straightforward. Hoptrail’s analytics platform gives us the understanding we need to support this responsibly where cryptocurrency forms part of the picture.”
