ISO 27001 Certification & Swiss Data Environment

We are very pleased to announce that Hoptrail has secured ISO 27001 certification in April 2025.

What is ISO?

‍ISO 27001 (ISO / IEC 27001:2022) is a globally recognised standard for information security and data management. It provides a systematic framework for managing sensitive company information, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Specifically, ISO 27001 includes requirements for risk assessment, treatment, and continuous improvement of a firm’s security posture – all of which have been integrated into Hoptrail’s systems and processes. 

Why ISO 27001?

‍We obtained certification as part of our ongoing engagement with global banking institutions and other regulated services. As a globally recognised standard, it is an increasingly important requirement for third party services such as Hoptrail. We are extremely pleased to have achieved ISO certification after only three years in operation.

The certification ensures Hoptrail has and holds the highest possible standards when it comes to handling and processing sensitive data. More importantly, it ensures a high level of trust with our clients when undertaking complex crypto HNWI onboarding and source of wealth analysis on their behalf.

Hoptrail’s Swiss Data Environment

‍As part of our increasing engagement with financial institutions in Switzerland, we have established a bespoke, institutional-grade data environment in Zurich to receive, handle and process data for our Swiss clients.

Our data environment ensures we are executing client engagements within Swiss borders.  This in turn enables our clients meet regulatory and legal obligations with regard to privacy and customer data security, including but not limited to the Swiss Banking Act.
